Caitlin O'Callaghan Reen, CNP is the Clinical Lead and Coordinator for Strategic and Programmatic Initiatives for the Structural Heart Program at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
In October of 2022, she spearheaded the first Advanced Practice Provider section, as part of the New England Valve and Structural Heart (NEVASH) meeting in Boston. She is now a Co-Director for NEVASH. This is her third year as Co-Director.
Caitlin has been named the Cardiovascular Team Representative for the state of Massachusetts 2024-2026.
Caitlin completed her Associate Degree of Science-Nursing at Regis College, her Bachelor Degree of Science-Nursing at Simmons University and her Master Degree of Science-Nursing at Boston College. She is nationally board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as an Adult Health Nurse Practitioner. She remains a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society, Chapter Member, Alpha Chi-Boston College.
She has been an Adjunct Professor of Nursing at Northeastern University School of Nursing, UMASS Boston School of Nursing, Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing and Simmons College School of Nursing. She is a member of the NCDR Impact Registry Executive Planning Committee, the Cardiovascular Professional Workgroup of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), and a member of the American College of Cardiology Editorial Advisory and Public Relations Board as a voting member.
Most recently she was named to the Leadership Council of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
She has co-authored numerous publications and given multiple lectures on both Structural and Valvular heart disease.
