Carrie Redick is in charge of strategic direction and oversight for the Interventional Cardiology Programs at Atlantic Health System. Inclusive of 6 hospitals Cardiac Catheterization Labs, Electrophysiology Labs, and the Structural Heart Program.
Ms. Redick has been instrumental for designing, implementing and optimizing network wide processes for the interventional labs. Areas of focus have included a staffing pool, collaborative governance committee, system wide STEMI committee and a supply/inventory utilization team.
The Structural heart program contribution margin for TAVR patients doubled with implementation of a care pathway and redesign of the care teams. Digital efficiencies such as EPIC dashboards, structural heart navigators, and templates have greatly improved workflows . The Morristown Medical Center’s structural heart program received accreditation by the America College of Cardiology (ACC) in December 2020 and again in 2023.
Ms. Redick has developed a passion for bridging the gap between clinical practice and the business aspects of healthcare. She enjoys analyzing healthcare data and financial metrics to identify trends, assess performance and make informed strategic assessments aimed at improving cost-effectiveness and quality of care. As a bedside nurse for 18 years prior to going into leadership, she understands the need to provide financial literacy for clinicians.
