Dr. Lindsey Prescher is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She is an Assistant Professor in Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Clinical Instructor in the Division of Cardiac Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Prescher completed her Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Yale University School of Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital. She subsequently spent an additional year of dedicated training as a Fellow in Advanced Structural Heart Disease. Dr. Prescher currently serves as a Commander in the United States Navy and has served on active duty for the past 14 years. She presently practices and performs complex surgical and structural heart interventions at both WRNMMC and Yale New Haven Hospital. Her areas of research interest include complex valvular heart disease, transcatheter therapies, and fellowship training of cardiac surgery residents.
